Fergies players to have a busy Christmas break following a summer of hard work.FIFA World Cup winner and Australia captain David Pocock and captain Tom Rogic are both expected to return from the Copa America Centenario with Australia set to face Brazil in their opening group match on December 9 in Curitiba, Brazil.
Australia captain Joel Hamling and England defender Toby Alderweireld are also expected to join the squad, with both players set to return to training in Melbourne next week.
Fifa World Cup winners Pocock, Rogic, Alderwield, Hamling, Aird and Luke Shaw have all trained with the squad ahead of their next internationals, and have returned to training this week.
They will face Brazil at the Allianz Arena in Curaçao on December 17.
“We’ve had some pretty good work done in the last two days, but the good news is we’re starting to get some consistency,” Pocock said.
